St. Gerard Majella, born in 1726 in Italy, is remembered for his incredible selflessness and deep faith despite his short life. He joined the Redemptorists and quickly became known for his tireless acts of charity and service to others. Though he lived only 29 years, Gerard’s impact on the lives of those he helped and his legacy of faith continue to inspire people today.

He has long been known to help expectant mothers, new mothers and children. His shrine at Mater Domini in Italy receives thousands of letters of thanks each year for his intercession in answering prayers.
