Why Go to Mass?
The Mass is based on one of the oldest ritual meals in human history–the Passover Meal. Jesus would celebrate the Passover Meal with his apostles on the night before his suffering and death. His gift of bread and wine–his body and blood–at the Last Supper was a gift of total selflessness, freely offered. Why Go to Mass? explains our need to give thanks, to share in the communal meal, and to become part of the cycle of giving and receiving Jesus instituted for us at the Last Supper. The mystery of God’s abiding presence in us is so profound and awesome that there is only one appropriate response–the Eucharist. Pamphlet; This item is not returnable.
