Saints Simon and Jude are only ever briefly mentioned in the Gospels. Nothing else is known about them with any certainty.

As Apostles, however, we can be sure that they were key figures in laying the deep foundations of the Church, and that they were filled with the Holy Spirit to preach in hostile lands, with little regard for their own safety. For they had seen the risen Lord and knew that no matter what happened to their bodies, they were safe in his everlasting arms.
