Hope For Every Child - A Future Without Fear

“Safety and peace should be every child’s birthright, not a privilege.”

~ Unknown ~

June 4 is a day to remember children who have been hurt by violence and

conflict. Around the world, many children suffer because of war, fighting

or mistreatment. Some lose their families, homes or schools. Others are

forced to leave everything behind and live in fear. This day reminds us

that children should never be caught in the middle of adult problems.

Children need safety, care and peace to grow. They deserve love, not

fear. Laughter, not pain. A world that protects its children is a world

that has hope.

On this day, we can all do something. We can learn about what children

in conflict zones go through. We can support groups that help children

in need. And most of all, we can speak up — to say that hurting children is

never okay and that every child deserves a safe and happy life.

Let us stand together and do our part to make the world a better place

for all children, where they can dream, play, learn and grow without fear.

Dear God, please take care of every child. Keep them safe, happy

and loved. Help us to be kind and brave, and to help others when

they are hurting. Thank You for always being with us. Amen.
