World Mental Health Day – October 10
When Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” He
invites us to bring our struggles, worries and heavy hearts to Him. Life can feel overwhelming and
sometimes burdens such as stress, sadness, anxiety or loneliness can become too heavy to
carry alone.
We are not meant to face these challenges in isolation. Turning to God, sharing our worries in prayer
or pausing to trust in His care can bring calm and relief. Just as rest restores the body, God’s
presence restores the spirit, helping us feel renewed and supported.
Acknowledging our struggles, seeking help and taking time for self-care are all acts of courage. God’s
invitation reminds us that we are loved, that hope is always possible, and that even in difficult
moments, we can find peace, strength and comfort through His care.
* Look for something positive in every day, even if some days you have to look a little harder. *

Lord, be near to those who feel weary, anxious or heavy-hearted. Comfort them with Your gentle care,
restore their spirit and fill them with hope. Amen.
