VALENTINE’S DAY

“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.”

~ David Viscott ~

Valentine’s Day is associated with romantic love, but it’s really about honouring love, kindness and

human connection, whether romantic, friendly or with family. You can see it in the smiles shared, the

encouragement given, the meals cooked and the messages sent just to let someone know you’re

thinking of them. It’s also reflected in the way we help others feel respected, safe and appreciated.

Love is steady and unassuming, yet it leaves a lasting impact. It’s felt in the way we listen, forgive,

help without expecting anything in return and value each other in everything we do.

Celebrating love shouldn’t be limited to February 14. It’s about noticing the little things, recognising

the efforts people make and being grateful for the family and loved ones around us. When love is

part of our daily lives, it strengthens our relationships and makes our life feel fuller and

more meaningful.

Dear Lord, Valentine’s Day reminds us of love but help us to live it every day. In our actions,

words and choices, may we bring joy, comfort and encouragement to those around us. Let

our love be steady, patient and unassuming, reflecting Your care in all that we do. Amen.
