FAITH IN ACTION

“Preach the Gospel at all times and, when necessary, use words.”

~ St Francis of Assisi ~

Faith is lived through thoughtful choices made every day.

When we act with compassion and patience, even in small ways, we may bring

comfort or strength to someone who needs it.

We can show kindness through calm, caring gestures –

                                * in how we speak when we’re tired.

                                * in choosing patience when it would be easier to give in to frustration.

                                * in noticing someone’s silence, even if they say they’re fine.

                                * in listening fully, even when our mind is busy.

                                * in giving without expecting anything in return.

                                * in choosing to forgive, even when it’s hard.

                                * in finding gratitude in the smallest moments.

                                * in giving others room to shine.

                                * in showing up, even when it’s inconvenient.

                                * in remembering someone in our prayers, even if they’ll never know.

These may seem like little things, but they matter. They’re not done for attention,

                        but through thoughtful, caring decisions.

Faith is often seen in the way we live, not just in what we say.

Our simple choices quietly shape the world around us,

even when we don’t see the full impact.

Dear Lord, may my faith be seen in how I treat others. Give me patience, courage

and compassion, so that others feel cared for and valued in my presence. Amen.
