Holding on to the Easter message

Easter has come and gone. We witnessed the tragedy of Jesus’ death on Good Friday and then rejoiced in His resurrection three days later.

This most significant event on the Christian calendar may be over, but we shouldn’t leave it there. The Easter message is too important.

Easter symbolises victory over sin and death and is at the core of our Christian beliefs.

The resurrection of Jesus is a powerful demonstration of God’s love and power, offering hope and redemption, and the promise of eternal life.

Easter is also a source of faith and comfort in times of trial and suffering, serving as a reminder that God is with us always, even in our darkest moments, and that death is not the end but the beginning.

The resurrection also gives hope that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones in heaven.

Yes, Easter may have come and gone but Jesus’ resurrection has profound implications  for how we should live day-to-day.

We are called to follow Jesus’ example of love, compassion, and selflessness. The resurrection empowers us to live with courage and faith, knowing that we are not alone and that God is always with us. The resurrection is also a symbol of new beginnings and transformation.

Just as Jesus emerged from the tomb, we are called to leave behind our old ways and embrace a new life in Christ.

Easter offers the promise of forgiveness and redemption, no matter how far we may have strayed from God.

Why?

Because God’s love is greater than any sin or suffering, and that through faith in Jesus, we can experience the fullness of life that God intends for us. Ultimately, Easter and the resurrection of Jesus is a message of salvation and redemption.

Easter provides a powerful message that should be with us … always!
