COURAGEOUSLY FACING LOSS

“When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.

That’s what the storm is all about.”

~ Haruki Murakami ~

Facing a loss is never easy. It could be the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a friendship, a job

or something else important. Grief can feel painful and often takes time to work through.

It’s important to notice and accept your feelings. Sadness, anger or confusion are all normal.

Trying to push those emotions away can make healing harder. You don’t have to carry it alone,

sharing your thoughts with family, friends or a counsellor can bring comfort and support.

Taking care of yourself matters too. Eat well, rest when you need to and spend time on things that

help you feel calm or connected, like listening to music, keeping a diary, being outdoors or simply

talking with someone you trust.

Healing takes time, and everyone’s journey looks different. Be gentle with yourself. With patience,

support and small steps forward, you can find courage, hope and even moments of peace as

you begin to move through your loss.

Dear Lord, my heart feels heavy. Please hold me close and help me

find strength, peace and hope again. Amen.
