“Reconciliation means working together to correct

the legacy of past injustice.”

~ Nelson Mandela ~

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect, to listen and to walk together.

It reminds us that healing begins when we face the past with honesty and look

to the future with respect and care.

This week, we remember the strength and wisdom of First Nations peoples. We

honour their stories, cultures and deep connection to this land. Their

voices matter.

Reconciliation is not just a word, it’s action. It’s choosing kindness, fairness and

understanding. It’s speaking up when something isn’t right. It’s about learning,

being open to seeing things differently and standing side by side.

There is hope in every step we take together. Hope in the conversations we have,

in the friendships we build and in the changes we make.

Let this week inspire us all, to listen more, to learn more and to love more deeply,

because when we walk together, with open hearts and minds, we can build a

future that’s fair, united and strong.

Now more than ever, we must keep going – together.

Dear God, help us to listen, to care and to walk together. May we

learn from each other and treat every person with respect. Guide us

toward peace and a shared journey of hope. Amen.
