REMEMBRANCE DAY

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for others.”

~ John 15:13 ~

On the 11th of November, we pause to remember the men and women who gave

their lives in service to others. Their courage reminds us that peace is never

something to be taken for granted — it is a gift built on sacrifice, hope and the

desire for a better world.

We honour not only those who served in times of war, but also those who continue

to serve today – bringing aid and compassion to those in need. Their example

reminds us to be grateful and to work for peace in our own lives and communities.

Remembrance Day is more than a date in history; it is a moment to reflect on what

truly matters – kindness, unity and the strength that comes from standing together.

May we carry forward the spirit of those we remember, choosing understanding

over division and hope over despair.

Let us remember them, not only in silence, but also in the way we live each day

— with respect, humility and love for one another.

Heavenly Father, we remember the courage of those who gave their lives in

service to others. May their sacrifice inspire us to act with courage, bring

hope to those in need and work for peace in our world. Amen.
