THE LOVE THAT REMAINS

“The only thing of importance, when we depart, will be the

traces of love we have left behind.”

~ Albert Schweitzer ~

When we think of the loved ones we’ve lost, we are reminded that love doesn’t

disappear when someone is no longer with us. It lives on in our memories, in the

lessons they shared, and in the moments or gestures — big or small — that

influenced our lives. Their laughter, favourite stories or the things they did that

left an impression on us often come to mind unexpectedly, bringing a sense of

warmth and comfort.

Grief may still come and go, but alongside it grows a quiet gratitude for the time

we shared, the love we experienced and the ways they shaped who we are. Even

as life moves forward, the connection remains, and in remembering them, we find

comfort and strength in their memory.

Dear God, we remember those we love and miss. Thank You for the time we had with them.

May their memory stay close and bring us comfort each day. Amen.
