Planning for your big day

After two years of frustrating cancellations due to COVID-19, weddings are back on the agenda in 2022. Bigtime!

Many couples have had to delay their nuptials and churches have been closed because of the ongoing pandemic. The Alpha, Delta and more recently the Omicron variants have caused chaos in many places across Australia.

Hundreds if not thousands of couples have had to endure the frustration of cancelling their wedding since the pandemic began in March 2020. Wedding delays have caused widespread heartache and distress for many couples.

It’s not only church bookings but the financial hardship caused by reception venue cancellations has left many couples out of pocket. Thankfully, the situation has eased with churches opening up and couples once again able to plan for their big day.

After a tough few years for many people, 2022 is looking brighter, especially for those who want to pledge their commitment to one another for the rest of their lives.

During the pandemic Majellan Media has used the time to revamp its wedding book titled Your Wedding. The book has information on a variety of topics including Planning your Wedding. Marriage and the Law, Music and Readings, Marriage Vows, and Marrying a non-Catholic.

The book is a wonderful resource for couples who are thinking of marrying in the Catholic Church and is suitable for Catholics and those planning a mixed marriage.
