OUR GREATEST BLESSING
“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
~ Desmond Tutu ~
Family life is made up of many moments, some special and memorable, others so ordinary that we hardly
give them a second thought. Yet often, it is these little things that mean the most.
Every family has its own story, filled with traditions, shared experiences and memories that become more
precious as the years go by. These are the things that help shape who we are and remind us of where we belong.
Growing up in a family teaches us many of life’s important lessons. We discover how to share, compromise,
appreciate our differences and sometimes see the world through someone else’s eyes.
Of course, family life is not always easy. There will be disagreements, worries and challenges along the way.
However, these experiences can teach us patience, understanding and the importance of forgiveness.
As we grow older, we come to realise that the greatest gifts we give one another are not material things, but
the time, encouragement and love we share.
Perhaps the true beauty of family lies in the many ways it enriches our lives, giving us so much to be thankful for.

Dear Lord, watch over those we hold dear. Keep them safe in your loving care, bless them with good health
and fill their hearts with peace, joy and hope. Amen.
