Those who have left us

All Souls’ Day each year is an opportunity to remember our loved ones who have passed. We observe All Souls’ Day, also known as The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, on Saturday.

It is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithfully departed, observed by Christians on November 2 each year.

The Catholic Church teaches that the purification of the souls in purgatory can be assisted by the actions of the faithful on earth, teachings that based on the practice of prayer for the dead mentioned as far back as 2 Maccabees 12:42–46.

Many people who celebrate All Souls’ Day light candles which serve to kindle a light for the ‘poor souls languishing in the darkness’. Many also attend Mass on this solemn occasion.

If you would like a loved one/s to be remembered by Redemptorist priests in their Masses and prayer services, fill in the form on the Majellan Media website. You can also write a tribute in the space provided.
