Daylight saving starts in some states and territories on Sunday morning at 2am. The different time zones often create confusion, especially for people travelling by air.
I booked a flight from Brisbane to Sydney on the day daylight saving started. The ticket said we’d leave at 8 and arrive at 11, even though the flight was only two hours.
I asked the bloke at the gate where the extra hour went.
He said, “Sydney.”
I said, “Can I have it back?”
He said, “Only if you fly home.”

My wife says daylight saving means we can enjoy longer evenings. Apparently “enjoy” means I can now see all the jobs in the garden that require my attention after work.

Daylight saving started, so I lost an hour’s sleep. The dog lost nothing. He still woke me at six and demanded breakfast like he’d personally voted against it.

I told my dad daylight saving starts on Sunday. He said, “Good. I’ve been trying to save daylight for years, but the electricity company keeps charging me for it.”

The clocks went forward an hour, and I turned up late to work. My boss said, “You knew this was happening.” I said, “Yes, but I didn’t agree to it.”

I love daylight saving. For one glorious day, being late is the government’s fault.

I put the clocks forward before bed. My wife asked if I’d done the car clock too. I said, “No, I’d like to be early somewhere for once.”

They say daylight saving gives you more time outdoors. So far, it’s given the mozzies an extra hour to eat me.
