A beautiful home
Majellan House featured in the magazine in 1925, 1965 and 1995. The first ever Home Beautiful front cover in 1925 included the headline ‘As good a house as money can buy’.
The national magazine was launched in 1923 as Australian Home Builder, but it was rebranded as Australian Home Beautiful in 1925.
In the magazine’s 70th anniversary edition in 1995, Majellan House or Kuring-gai as it was originally called was labelled a ‘stunning architectural statement’.
