The statistics are damning. They are also truly frightening. Globally, the levels of violence perpetrated against women is appalling. So, each year on November 25, the United Nation’s (UN) holds International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The one day of the year set aside to celebrate our youngest and most vulnerable will be celebrated on Monday, November 20.

With Remembrance Day held at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month each year, sadly the disastrous toll on human life through war continues.

It is an important week for the Catholic Church as we remember our saints and our loved ones who have passed. Tomorrow is All Saints’ Day while Thursday we observe All Souls’ Day.
